Connectors

Integrate your E-boekhouden account with Invoice Office

Connect E-boekhouden to Invoice Office under System integrations so your invoices and costs reach your bookkeeping without a second round of data entry.

If your bookkeeping lives in E-boekhouden and your documents are created in Invoice Office, the connector is what stops those two being separate jobs.

Where to set it up

Connectors are all configured in the same place: Settings → Settings → System integrations. Open the E-boekhouden connector, enter the credentials, and enable it with the switch. The same switch disables it later without losing your settings.

The credentials are issued by E-boekhouden. If you do not have them or cannot find them, ask them — that side of the connection is theirs.

What connecting your bookkeeping is worth

  • No double entry, and therefore none of the small discrepancies double entry produces.
  • Current books. Your position reflects what you have actually invoiced and spent, rather than what has been transferred so far.
  • Less month-end work, because the transfer is not a task that has to happen before anything else can.

Good practice with any accounting connector

  • Start small. Push a handful of documents and check they arrive as expected before trusting a full month to it.
  • Agree the mapping with whoever does your books. Which cost categories correspond to which ledger accounts is a decision worth making once, deliberately, with the person who will be reading the result.
  • Check in periodically. Credentials expire and APIs change; a connector that has quietly stopped is worth catching in days rather than at year end.
