Most late payments are not refusals. They are an invoice that arrived, was noted, and then required someone to open their banking app and type in an IBAN — so it waited.
A payment link removes that step.
What a payment link changes
- One click instead of a bank transfer. The customer pays from the document they already have open, at the moment they are already thinking about it.
- Payment in seconds rather than after a manual transfer clears.
- Nothing to reconcile by hand from a reference someone typed wrong.
- No manual work for you — the link is created automatically and added to the invoice.
The link appears in the invoice footer text, below the document line table, and in the email text your customer receives.
What it costs
Nothing extra. The PayPal payment link is part of the Professional plan, so there is no add-on to buy — see pricing.
Two things people ask first
Why is the link missing on a concept invoice? The connector creates it when you finalise the invoice, because the link has to carry the final total. Generating one for every draft would leave a pile of unwanted payment links in your PayPal account.
Where do I find my PayPal username? Log in to PayPal and it is shown at the top of the page, or check the confirmation email you received when you created the account.
Setting it up
The full step-by-step — username, link text, the enable switch and the FAQs — is in the help desk: Integrate your PayPal payment link with Invoice Office.
