Difference Between Document Title and Document Name

Are you confused with the document name and document title? Let’s know the difference between them

On your dashboard, Go to “Settings > Document > Document design”.

Now scroll down the document design page and go to General, there you will see the document title and document name.

Document title refers to the type of document, which appears on the document PDF. For example, if we create an invoice document, then the document title on the PDF will be “Invoice” as shown in the following screen. You can use this field to update the document title of the PDF.

Sometimes you need to name your document template for better management and reorganization further, so you can name your design template by clicking on the document name under General.

For example, if we want to name our Invoice document as “Invoice(test_customer)”, then we will first select the document template whose name, we want to change. After that, go to General and change the document name to “Invoice(test_customer)”, then the name of our document template will be changed to “Invoice(test_customer)”.

Simply document name is the name of the document template and the document title refers to the type of document.
